Hello. I’m a staff writer for the San Francisco Chronicle. I cover breaking news, culture, and human-interest stories, but I’m especially interested in stories about communities that are misunderstood.

Before the Chronicle, I wrote for SFGATE, VICE, and Flood Magazine. In college at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, I was an arts reporter & wrote a column about culture.

I’ve got radio experience, too: In 2019, I co-produced Datebook’s first miniseries podcast, Babylon Gone, which went behind the scenes of the world’s longest-running musical revue, Beach Blanket Babylon. I’ve also produced several podcast pieces for NPR-affiliate station KCBX, including one that traces the history of hospice care and the taboo surrounding death.

Check out my selected pieces here.
